Most men feel that women are very complex and difficult to understand, but the bare fact is that men are even more complex and sophisticated than women. However, this is a popular topic of debate as the thoughts of these two creatures never match. After all, "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"! But, being a woman, I personally feel that understanding a man is not as easy as it seems. At times, it becomes really irritating to have absolutely no idea of what your boyfriend/husband is thinking or feeling at a particular moment. This is because of the simple fact that while most women prefer talking their hearts out in every situation, most men prefer to keep their problems to themselves and remain silent until compelled to speak. Their silence makes it even more difficult to figure out how to respond, react or what to do at all. If you agree with me, read on.

Understanding a man is difficult, but not impossible. Following few steps will help you understand your man better and make him love you more than ever before:

1) As men are expected to carry a social role and take the responsibility of their families, they are quite used to keeping their problems to themselves. So, the best way to understand them is to initiate conversation. Do not wait for your boyfriend/husband to tell you what is going on with him or what he wishes to do at a particular moment. Instead, just take a step forward and ask him carefully. But, make sure you do not end up asking the typical yes or no questions. Instead, leave your question or statement open-ended to make him feel comfortable.

For instance, instead of asking "Is something bothering you dear?", a yes/no question to which he would most obviously reply with a "No, I am fine" statement, you should always say things like "I, at times, feel that something is bothering you dear...". Such statements will help him respond easily. Thus, initiating a conversation yourself will show you how your man responds and help you understand him well. At the same time, he will find you caring for him and understanding him more than before.

2) There is a big difference in the ways men and women think in a particular situation. Therefore, to understand men better, it is essential to analyze a situation from their perspective before reacting.

For instance, we women remain withdrawn and silent when we are extremely upset or sad. When men stay silent or withdrawn, they are usually trying to relax and enjoy being with themselves.

3) Keep assuring your boyfriend/husband that you are always there for him by his side. Make your presence known to him.

For instance, in difficult times, instead of saying things like, "Tell me what happened! Why are you silent? Why dont you ever bother to share your feelings with me? Dont you love me anymore...," just say something like, "If you are stressed out or tensed about something, you can always talk to me about it whenever you wish".

To conclude, it is not very difficult to understand your man and make him love you more each day. All you need to do is see things from his perspective when dealing with him. Just follow the above three steps and you will certainly see a change in his attitude soon.
